Mühldorf (Upper Bavaria) is located at the center of several routes operated by diesel locomotives and diesel railcars belonging to Deutsche Bahn or its subsidiary REGIO Südostbayernbahn for passenger transport. The main locomotives based here are the 245 and 218 series diesel locomotives, as well as the 077 (266) series from Euro Cargo Rail. Diesel railcars from the 628 and 642 series (Siemens Desiro Classic) are used for regional passenger transport (105 daily trains). On the left is diesellocomotive 245 # 008 (Bombardier Traxx P160 DE ME) with 4 small diesel engines of 563 kW each, used for the doubledeck push-pull trains between Mühldorf and München. In the middle diesel train 628 # 585, in the background 218 # 433 in front of the auxiliary car. On the far right two 218 diesellocomotives (218 # 463 in front) not in service anymore, used for spare parts.
