PRR At CPLs. Juniata Terminal Railroad's former Pennsylvania Railroad E8As 5809 and 5711 were the power for an excursion special for the American Association of Railroad Superintendents (AARS) July 21, 2013, in New Jersey. A train of private varnish from Juniata Terminal, Morristown & Erie and Webb Rail LLC that picked up passengers at Newark Penn Station in Newark, New Jersey, for a rare mileage trip over Conrail Shared Assets Operations trackage and returned to Newark Penn later in the day. The train is seen deadheading up the Northeast Corridor Line in Linden, New Jersey, passing under classic color position light signals. Expecting the train to be on the 'natural' northbound tracks, fast feet at least allowed us to avoid being blocked by the fence in the station.
