Remarks & Notes
The Oberweißbacher Bergbahn, renamed the Thüringer Bergbahn in 2020, is a railway line in the Thuringian Slate Mountains, now operated by DB RegioNetz Verkehrs GmbH Oberweißbacher Berg- und Schwarzatalbahn. Since 1922, it has connected the Obstfelderschmiede stop on the Schwarzatal Railway with the municipality of Cursdorf. To overcome the height difference of more than 300 meters between the Schwarzatal valley and the plateau, a funicular railway with a gauge of 1800 mm was built from Obstfelderschmiede to Lichtenhain. From Lichtenhain to Cursdorf there is a standard gauge line electrified with 600 V DC. Train 29938 of the line RB61 left Oberweissbach-Deesbach stop on the way to Cursdorf, with leading ET 479 # 205 in front and # 203 in multiple control.
