Remarks & Notes
Double at Don Chee. A pair of San Francisco Municipal Railway (MUNI) PCC cars are seen meeting at Don Chee Way station while operating F Market & Wharves service. At left is 1058, which is painted in Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) "Green Hornet" scheme worn by similar cars in the 1940s. At right is double-ended "Big 10" car 1008, sporting Muni "wings" scheme. The single-block Don Chee Way is named for the Muni project manager who was responsible for getting the F Market & Wharves line built. Fittingly the street is only used for vehicles operating service on said line!
