Pennsylvania Trolley Gauge Museum.
Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co. trolley 14 and New Orleans Public Service Co. trolley 832 are seen passing on Volunteer Blvd at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum. The former was built by the St. Louis Car Co. in 1949, and the latter by the Perley Thomas Car Works in 1922. Interestingly the 832 has eleven siblings in preservation at various groups, but also 35 of the cars are still in daily service on home rails in New Orleans! NOPSI is one of three transit systems to use 5'-2½" Pennsylvania trolley gauge, so 832 was compatible with the museum trackage without any modification. At left is Wexford Trolley Station, which was built in 1908 by the Pittsburgh, Harmony, Butler & New Castle Railway.
