On the occasion of the 2025 Open Depot Days at Bahnpark Brugg AG, members of the Zurich Steam Group organized trips to the bridge on the connecting line (Brugg VL) both Saturday and Sunday. They recreated a train composition similar to those used in the past on the Gotthard route during heavy snowfall or after avalanches. The electric locomotive “Crocodile” Be 6/8 II # 13254 and the steam locomotive "Elephant" C 5/6 # 2978 push the steam snow blower “Rotary” Xrot # 100, which was built in 1896 by Henschel in Kassel, Germany, for the Gotthard Railway. The snow clearance train is on its way back from the bridge on the connecting line to Brugg AG and the railway park. Note: The Be 6/8 II # 13254, which was on display at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne from 1982 until this spring, is not yet electrically operational. It was towed or pushed during this operation, but the pantograph was raised and the headlights were working.
