| On September 23, 1978, Chessie ran its 41st Chessie Steam Special of the year, with a round trip from Baltimore to Philadelphia. I got cloud skunked on the eastbound trip. My dad and I were determined to be out for the westbound return and we set up at Darby (just north/west of the SEPTA crossing). This time the light gods were with us and the guys in the cab had also decided they would put on a show. |
