A very special parallel run of two former locomotives of the French state railroad SNCF, today both operational in Switzerland. In Oensingen, the 4-8-2 express steam locomotive 241 A # 65 of the association Dampflok-Depot Full (DDF), on the return journey from Lyss to Full AG, and the electric shunting locomotive C # 20155, privately owned by the association “Team C-20155” in Balsthal, move simultaneously. This locomotive for 25000 V 50 Hz and 15000 V 16.7 Hz AC was built in 1962 by SLM and SAAS in a series of 9 units to the french SNCF for freight traffic between the French freight yard St-Louis (near Basel) and the shunting yard Muttenz in Basel. At that time, they were always used in pairs in multiple control. After being replaced by new two-system locomotives, the 9 locomotives were sold to the SBB in 1971/72 and used as Ee 3/3 II # 16511 to # 16519. The Ee 3/3 II # 16515 was discarded in 2000 and purchased by a member of the newly founded association. It has now been largely restored to its condition as SNCF C # 20155.
