| Both heavy HG 4/4 steam locomotives #704 and #708 are now operational on the Furka Mountain Steam Railway (DFB). The locomotives were delivered by SLM Winterthur in 1923 and 1930 to the then railway company Compagnie Génerale de Colonies Paris in Indochina, now Vietnam. There, the machines were used on the Song Pha (formerly Krong Pha) – Da Lat line. # 704 pulled a service train this morning to Furka DFB, # 708 will shove the "Moyse" diesellocomotive Gm 3/3 # 233 up to Muttbach in the afternoon. |
