Remarks & Notes
Home Rails Visit. On April 22, 2025, NJ Transit YM32 had the usual 'dog's breakfast' consist, which on this day was 2 MLVs, 2 ALP46s, and a Comet, as it passed through the Elizabeth Station. This non-revenue move transports cars and locomotives between the Meadows Maintenance Complex (MMC) and Morrisville, Pennsylvania. The leader, GP40PH-2 NJTR 4108 (ex-NJTR 4112, née-CNJ 3683, GP40-P), is not a stranger to this area, having operated here in passenger service on the North Jersey Coast Line for decades. The 13 GP40Ps could also be found on the Raritan Valley Line when they were delivered in 1968, and it was well after the creation of NJ Transit that they could be seen operating out of Hoboken. NJTR 4108 no longer runs in passenger service, an example of the MMC's in-house conversion, identifiable by its non-lighted number boards.
