Remarks & Notes
Stone Car Delivery At MO. Recently, MTA Metro-North Railroad ballast hopper cars MNCW 1500-1509 were delivered to CSX's Croton West Yard. These cars will be used to transport and drop ballast during rail maintenance and construction projects, and will replace older cars on the railroad's Maintenance of Way roster. On the early morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the train was picked by the crew of Metro-North's PMMO (PM MOtt Haven Crew) with MNCW GP35r 106 (née-PRR 2274, GP35, 5/1964) and transported to another yard on the property. The train is seen passing through the wye at MO as other workers prepare equipment to go out on the line to work during the overnight hours.
