A rainy start in Arcade. A steady light rain falls over the little yard in Arcade, NY as crews from the Arcade & Attica Railroad prepare their Consolidation #18 for duty, performing on a May 2025 photo shoot for Dynamo Productions.
This image, which was captured just south of the center of the Village of Arcade, depicts the yard and the engine servicing facility that houses all of the railroad's diesel and steam locomotives. The white structure in the immediate background is actually a recent addition to the facility, with the older structure further back being the legacy shop. The locomotive on the right is Consolidation #18, a 1920 Alco Product that came to the Arcade & Attica back in 1962. In the stall on the left is Diesel-Electric Locomotive # 114 is also an Alco Product, in this case, an RS-3m, built in 1952. The short hood and cab on this locomotive look very unlike any other RS-3 that I have ever seen.
