For years, the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society would operate their steam locomotive, Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway 4-8-4 3751, from its home in Los Angeles to San Bernardino because this city is where the 3751 was on display for decades before the city donated it to the SBRHS for restoration. "San Bernardino Railroad Days" was the society's way of acknowledging the generosity of the city. Sadly, SBRD seems to be a thing of the past now, as it was possibly done in by both the Covid pandemic, and Metrolink extending their run beyond this station by acquiring the trackage that the BNSF diesel is displayed upon ... but those are just my suppositions.
