Metrolink San Bernardino Line train 351, with MP36PH-3C 900 shoving on the rear, departs the Claremont station on its way from San Bernardino to Los Angeles.
Built in 1927 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, this station was renovated at a cost of $2.8 million and reopened for Metrolink use on December 7, 1992. On November 20, 2016, the interior of the depot was converted into the new home of the Claremont Museum of Art. This beautiful station was one of the few Metrolink stations that utilized an existing older depot, although now there are others as the system expanded over the years.
Claremont station is served by 44 Metrolink San Bernardino Line trains (22 in each direction) each weekday, with trains arriving every 30 minutes for most of the day, and every 60 minutes in the early morning and evening. Weekend service consists of 16 trains (8 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday, evenly spaced throughout the day. (Claremont, California – June 10, 2017)
