Following the Santa Ana River through Santa Ana Canyon on its trip from Alliance, Texas, heading to Thenard, near the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, is BNSF intermodal train S-ALTSCO1-14. Three GE locomotives are powering this train: BNSF ES44DC 7814, SD70ACe 9308 and Dash 9-44CW 1100. This train is about the round the Canyon’s big Horseshoe Bend, long a favorite of local rail photographers. (Yorba Linda, California – May 17, 2019)
