Remarks & Notes
NS 4002, one of Norfolk Southern's DC to AC rebuilt locomotives, descends down the grade between Crozier Canyon and Valentine as it leads a San Bernardino, CA bound Z-train. Unlike Norfolk Southern's other AC44C6M locomotives, NS 4002 is painted in a black and silver paint scheme to represent it being one of the first locomotives to be rebuilt for Norfolk Southern's DC to AC project.
