Okay, everybody get out their deck of cards and see who has a GP38 leading a mainline train with intermodal commitments on FEC in 2025. Not counting locals, yard jobs and work extras, I bet it was a Golden Ticket in that deck of cards. It happens so infrequently, I can only remember one other occasion in the past 12 months one of these long-hauls has had one leading. A couple weeks ago, the 511 escaped Jacksonville with a work extra and had been lingering in Fort Pierce ever since. Was watching, waiting. It finally turned up the day before this, facing the right way....but in trail. The odds the very next day sister 510 would show up not only leading, but leading the "preferred" six-axle were lower than the tide in this scene. #204, as ever, remains full of surprises. And "That Darn Bridge", as ever, remains the best place to view it.
