| The dining car train SEUDRE OCEAN EXPRESS of the "Train et Traction" railway is leaving La Tremblade to Chaillevette with the former french railway SNCF diesel locomotive BB # 64073 lettered as "040.DE.073", built by Brissonneau & Lotz from 1953 to 1964. The train has two former swiss Voralpen-Express "Revvivo" cars rebuilt as dining cars LA COUBRE and CORDOUAN (names of famous lighthouses), one similar voiture-office car VALLIERES for the kitchen and a former french twoaxle baggage car FOURGON with a generator for electricity. The SEUDRE OCEAN EXPRESS circulates between La Tremblade and Saujon about two times a week and is sold out for months usually. An excellent multi-course menu is served including wine. |
