A Brandt R4 works with 5 Side-Dump cars between Marshall and Alexander, NC on the former Southern Railway line (now NS) along the French Broad river. This line was severely damaged during Hurricane Helene in September 2024 and is nearing re-opening. These cars are returning to Alexander for another load of rip-rap.
