Remarks & Notes
Chilly Skyline. The temperatures were below freezing as Amtrak Train 237 rounded the curve near the station in Irvington, New York with the Manhattan skyline in the background, kicking up some snow along the way well after sunset on January 20, 2025. This train is one of several that is double ended with locomotives to allow it to change ends in New York Penn Station and not have to go to Sunnyside Yard to loop for the return trip to Albany-Rensselaer, New York.

The reason railpictures.net has captured my imagination for so many years. Images of quality and distinction, in other words, amazing railroad photography.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
