Retro Perspective. Under a beautiful winter sun, weekend only Amtrak Train 256 pops out from behind the rough rock near the station in Scarborough, New York on Sunday, January 13, 2019 with AMTK 700 (P32AC-DM) leading. Still fresh in its vintage retro Phase III re-paint, under a former New York Central signal bridge and next to the signature power gantries that Joshua Lionel Cowen was as well known for as the actual railroad, one can easily imagine this scene with a different locomotive in decades prior.
