My great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer at Baldwin and he would give my father different Baldwin Locomotive Works builder's cards when my father would visit him in Collingswood, New Jersey. This 2-10-4 steam locomotive, number 5010, was built for Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. On my father's list of his Baldwin Locomotive cards, he has marked the ATSF 5010 as being one of his favorites. According to the specifications listed on the back of the builder's card this engine had a total weight of 931,720 lbs., and a tractive force of 93,000 lbs. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
