Remarks & Notes
Two types of transport wagon are used on the ore transport railroad in Mauritania. The older one on the left, which is predominant, has a load weight of 84 tons and a total weight of 104 tons, with an axle load of 26 tons. The newer, higher wagons (right) weigh 22.8 tons empty and can carry a maximum load of 97.2 tons with a total weight of 120 tons. However, this would result in an axle load of 30 tons. It is not clear whether the line has already been upgraded to this axle load or whether the wagons will not be fully loaded for the time being. The total amount of ore cars is around 1200.
