The “Crocodile” locomotive Ce 6/8 II # 14253 was intended for SBB Historic's San Gottardo experience train from Erstfeld to Lavorgo and back. During the preparations, it was discovered that the locomotive's electric brake did not always work reliably, but the cause could not yet be found. A descent on the Gotthard line with the persistent gradient is only permitted with a traction unit with a functioning electric brake. For this reason, the Ae 6/6 # 11411 “Zug” was also used for the trip. Train 31401 from Erstfeld to Lavorgo can be seen on the north ramp between Wassen and Göschenen on the journey to Ticino.
