After a break of many months, caused by a shortage of locomotive crews, a Rhaetian Railway steam train with a coal-fired steam locomotive ran again on this day. Train 9025 from Landquart to Klosters Platz and back was both a test run for the locomotive but also served primarily to instruct and practice the operating personnel. The cool weather contributed to an impressive display of steam as the train passed the photographer on a 4.3% gradient between Küblis and Saas in Prättigau. Since the last trip, the “ALBULA” nameplate, which was attached to the driver's cab below the number, has been removed and the SLM factory plate has been placed there again.
