Parked In Pueblo. Former Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe 2912 (4-8-4, "Northern", Baldwin, 1944) was retired and donated to the City of Pueblo in 1959 with a little over 900,000 miles traveled. The 2900 class was built oil powered, with a capacity to carry 7,000 gallons. It later made its way to the Pueblo Railway Museum, where it was cosmetically restored from 2013-2016, and received finishing touched in 2019. It was still looking very fresh on September 1, 2020 where it was seen sitting in Pueblo, Colorado's warm afternoon sun. While there are six 2900 series AT&SF "Northerns" that survive today, only ATSF 2926, Albuquerque, New Mexico is in operating condition.
