Exactly on the day 125 years after the inauguration of the Oensingen-Balsthal Railway (OeBB), which is only about 4 kilometers long, a very nice and interesting festive programme was organized. In the evening, this RBe 546 # 109 railcar, which was acquired from the austrian Montafon Railway, was christened Joseph Bloch. Joseph Bloch was chief bailiff of the Thal district, head of the initiative committee for the construction of the OeBB and the first chairman of the OeBB board of directors. The ET 10.109 railcar was built by StadlerRail in 2000, was acquired together with its sister vehicle ET 10.110 and will be used in the new OeBB design (designed by Andreas Gerber) as a towing vehicle for the reserve shuttle.
