Remarks & Notes

In charge of D&RGW train number one, The Royal Gorge, is 4-8-4 1700 and an EMD FT set. It appears that the natural ventilation form of air conditioning is being utilized on this July day in 1949, as the train leaves Denver. Otto Conrad Perry photo, from my collection.
