Rare Mileage In Flemington. Black River & Western Railroad 60 (née-Great Western 60, 2-8-0 "Consolidation", Alco, 1937) was the power for the Volunteer Railroaders Association photo charter on June 25, 2016. The train is coming around the corner near "Turntable Junction" by Central Avenue in Flemington, New Jersey, an area of track normally used only for freight, and so participants were driving their cars between locations. Proceeds from the charter were donated to support the non-profit Black River Railroad Historical Trust's work to extend the existing track back to Lambertville, New Jersey, where passenger tourist trains last operated in the late 1990s.
