| "Work Geep Over the Conn River at Old Lyme"
On the rainy afternoon of March 5th, 2024, Amtrak EMD GP38-3's 734 & 728 double end a small consist of loaded side dump cars on "Amtrak Extra 734" as it crosses the Old Saybrook - Old Lyme (Connecticut River) Railroad Bridge in Old Lyme, Connecticut. 734 (ex LI 263) & 728 (ex LI 253) are two of 36 newly rebuilt EMD GP38-3's purchased from Progress Rail to replace the aging MP15DC work locomotive fleet.
