There was a time when my first visits to FGAR were a complete mixed bag of results, even up to about a year ago, it could be a "win, lose or draw" situation day to day (that was sometimes salvaged with nearby GFRR, crossing at grade here). Lately, the Mo-Fr run of TA-East to Lee for the swap with LC-West has been happening fairly routinely, even with tie replacement ramping up. If you visit the region, you will understand why this spot, the diamond aside, is one of the best views as its unobstructed from the trees that are omnipresent elsewhere. Today's run includes ten loads of ties that will be set out in Greenville siding.
