Remarks & Notes |
ALRAY CA Sept 7 1983 — A TOFC-COFC train is led by ATSF SD40-2 5207 on its uphill journey in Cajon Pass. EMD delivered the unit (s/n 786153-8) in October 1978 painted in blue body with yellow warbonnet. In April 1994 Morrison Knudsen performed maintenance on the unit and applied MKM lettering below road numbers on the cab sides. On September 22 1995 it was transferred to Burlington Northern Santa Fe. On March 1 2000 it was renumbered BNSF 6952 while still in its yellow warbonnet livery and was patched with BNSF on cab sides. Before November 2001 it was repainted in BNSF H1 livery. Sometime before Jan 16 2011 it was renumbered BNSF 1768. My photo. |
