Remarks & Notes |
BLUE CUT CA Sept 6 1983 — What at first glance seems to be a light engine movement is in actuality a bare tables train with ATSF SD40-2 5172 in the lead. Also in consist are C30-7 8096 and SD45 5612. EMD delivered the unit (s/n 816016-3) in November 1981 painted in blue body with yellow warbonnet livery. In April 1994 Morrison Knudsen performed maintenance on the unit and applied MKM lettering below road numbers on the cab sides. On September 22 1995 it was transferred to Burlington Northern Santa Fe. On November 20 1999 it was renumbered BNSF 6901 while still in its yellow warbonnet livery and was patched with BNSF on cab sides. My photo. |
