Remarks & Notes
Santa Fe employees and their families enjoy a day of train riding on the Santa Fe mainline between Joliet & the Chicago area. The train is about to depart Joliet for an eastward run. I believe the train operated between Joliet and Corwith this day, making several trips.

The Santa Fe's warbonnet paint scheme on passenger diesel locomotives was one of the most iconic in railroading. It appealed to travelers and modellers alike, and helped brand Santa Fe all the way from Chicago to California and Texas.
