In the latter half of 2013 General Electric built a group of EF44AC 4500hp Tier 4 emissions test locomotives, painted blue and sent out to test on several railroads, including (as seen here) Union Pacific, BNSF Railway and Florida East Coast (and, I'm sure, others, but I only saw them on those three roads … and it's all about me, isn't it?). The first I saw was GECX EF44AC 2024 at Union Pacific's Dolores Yard on Halloween. (Or was it an ES44AC, ES44A6 or ES44C6?) Don't you hate it when the crews leave the doors open?
