A Manhattan-bound New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) J train is seen approaching Broadway Junction on the express track of the BMT Jamaica Line. Trains were running on this track - which is not normally used for revenue service - because (L) trains were terminating on the Manhattan-bound local track on the lower level. These are R42 cars manufactured by the St. Louis Car Co. from 1969-1970. |
