Remarks & Notes

ATSF 2712 leads a blue trio of vintage Geeps on an eastbound freight at Streator, IL. At this date it was still possible to get all blue/yellow consists on Santa Fe's mainline across Illinois, but the Superfleet red & silver was making inroads and would soon dominate prior to the BNSF merger in 1995. ATSF 2712 was built in spring 1962 as 1212, and rebuilt to a GP30r.
