Remarks & Notes
Snow Fighter. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R41 locomotive no. 56 (GE 45-ton, 1967-1968) sits at Prospect Park station waiting to reverse back to Coney Island, while a Brighton Beach-bound B train arrives from the tunnel. The locomotive was towing R14 de-icer car RD340, helping to keep the third rail clear of ice accumulation on the cold, snowy day.
