Budds In The Bronx. On November 9, 2023, a 10 car train of Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway Budd built R-32s made an unusual trip up through the Bronx. These cars spent over 58 years of active service running on the system before retirement. The first 8 cars are known as the "Movie Train" and used for various purposes, in this case picking up the last 2 cars to go out to be scrapped. The Concourse Line is presently home to the B and the D, but was once home to the C before it swapped northern terminals with the B on March 1, 1998, and the sign displayed the anachronistic C during this non-revenue trip. The train is seen passing through the Bedford Park Boulevard Station.
