A pair of P42's lead Amtrak's Lakeshore Limited north up the Post Road Branch in South Schodack, New York as they head towards the Albany Rensselaer Station. This unique move was required due to track work on CSX at CP 169 that required Amtrak to run over CSX, bypassing Schenectady, and then backing up the Post Road Branch to the station. In order to avoid the lengthy backing move, a pair of P42's was sent down from Albany to tie on to the rear of the train and pull it north where it will then resume it normal routing.
