| D&RGW 473 storms through Granite Point with a long mixed train. Sister K-28 locomotive #476 is working as a mid-train helper to move this large fifteen car train upgrade to Silverton. This was a recreated mid-train helper photo freight put on by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to honor the 100th Anniversary of these K-28 locomotives. After 100 years of continuous service on the Rio Grande narrow gauge lines, 473 and 476 are still at work pulling tourist trains to on the Silverton Branch. |
