| South America's Newest Metro.
A northbound train to El Labrador is seen arriving at San Francisco station on the Metro de Quito, located in the historic center of the Ecuadorian capitol. The line is expected to open in December 2023 after more than a decade of construction deep under the city. The trains used on the line are six-car, fully walkthrough consists supplied by Spanish manufacturer CAF, with a livery depicting the mountains surrounding the city and local landmarks in the red and blue colors of the flag of Quito. |
