| "Giruno" highspeed train RABe 501 # 003 "San Gottardo" and # 006 "Obwalden" of the SBB in multiple control are rounding the "Wattinger curve" on the Gotthard mountain line between Gurtnellen and Wassen with the IC 10873 from Zürich to Lugano. Since the derailment of a northbound freight train in the west bore of the Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT) with huge damage, all passenger train are diverted over the Gotthard mountain line. The east bore of the GBT is used by the freight traffic since august 23. |
