BNSF Railway officer special O-LACSDG1-20A departed Commerce, near downtown Los Angeles, before sunup, and then backed onto Metrolink's Track 4 in Fullerton … possibly the first train to use that stub-end track since the pandemic in 2020. After loading its passengers, the train departed shortly after 9:00 to head south to San Diego for the passengers to take in the Rockies-Padres baseball game. (The Padres would win 3-2.) Seven miles later, this 9-car train, powered by BNSF ES44C4 6571, passes through the city of Orange, bisecting Chapman University as it does so. (Orange, California – September 20, 2023)
