On the late evening of August 3rd, 2023, westbound CTrail Shore Line train 1693, led by CTrail (CTDX) GE P40BH 6706, passes by Madison, Connecticut while heading down the Shore Line section of the Northeast Corridor towards New Haven. Madison station is only remaining station on Shore Line East that only has a platform on one side of the two-track mainline. As a result, only morning westbound trains and afternoon eastbound trains make the station stop.
