Amtrak's Capitol Limited out of Chicago running nearly 3 1/2 hours late on the afternoon of Friday August 11, 2023 rolls by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Roundhouse and Shop Complex as it begins its station stop before heading eastward towards its terminus in Washington DC. The train is headed by two new ALC-42 Siemens Charger engines painted in the railroad's newest scheme (Phase VII) and are slowly replacing the aging fleet of GE p42 diesel locomotives on the long distance passenger routes.
