It’s almost 6 p.m. on a cool Montana winter eve at Trout Creek on February 5, 2023. A trackside fire helps warm us up a bit as the “blue hour” descends upon the Clark Fork River Valley. The approaching night doesn’t slow the trains either as a BNSF coal train bound for Roberts Bank rolls westward on the rails of Montana Rail Link’s Fourth Subdivision.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
