Remarks & Notes

Even without any paint or lettering, there is no mistaking a Southern Pacific diesel! The Headlight/Gyralight/Emergency Light arrangement and the numberboards on the hood give SP SW1200 2280 that very distinctive "Espee-look." Built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in June 1965 as SP 1615, this end cab switcher is busy switching box cars. (Oakland, California – August 27, 1975)
