| On a haze afternoon, IHB train BP2 tip toes around the corner at 139th Street in Blue Island, as they would come to a stop for cross traffic on the CSX. IHB GP40P-2 4010 leads a regular GP40-2, 4012. 4010 is one of three GP40P-2’s. It served as a commuter locomotive out of San Francisco for the Southern Pacific’s passenger service there. The last two remaining SP GP40P’s remain on Union Pacific’s roster to this day. |
