Daylight Indoors. On July 9, 2009, Southern Pacific 4449 "Northern" GS-4 4-8-4 (Lima, 1941), the sole surviving "Daylight" locomotive had just arrived at the Friends of 261 facility at Harrison Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota when the crew descend to examine their new arrival. The locomotive and its unique consist were in the middle of an excursion from Portland, OR to Owosso, MI via Whitefish, MT, Minneapolis, MN, and Chicago, IL.
